So Far Yet So Bad

It  seems like as the end of the year gets nearer, our relationship with each other is becoming worse. Maybe our once upon a time story will not end with a happily ever after. I will definitely hate that kind of ending but at least it started with an all right scene.

This week had again been a tragedy for me. Many terrible things had happened. Low scores, failed quizzes, ruined relationships and I almost nearly lost you. That's just all because of carelessness and stupidity.

From Monday to Tuesday, we just discussed about distinct and circular permutations.

Then Wednesday, we had a very unexpected game. The game goes like this. First, Mam Nicole will pick a name from a box. Second, the person picked will draw a number from a pile of paper. Then, the number he/she picked will be the one that he will answer in 60 seconds. Each of us has 3 tries in the 1 minute time. First try is worth 10 points then 7 points and last is 3 points. If the answer is wrong you will get 1 point. In the 33 problems, there is one number that is a bonus. And guess what? The first name drawn was unexpectedly the person who got the bonus. Dana was really very lucky that day. Whoo! Cheers for her. I was the second person picked and my question was just easy but because of carelessness I got wrong it again for the nth time. My question is about the number of plate combinations in a given condition. The plate number must have 3 letters in the beginning with repetition allowed and 4 numbers in the end without repetition such that the first number is not zero. My process of solving the problem is correct but I thought there was only 3 numbers in the end so I got the wrong answer.

The next day, Thursday, which means quiz day. We had a 20 point quiz and it was just easy but I got a low score because there was this one item that has 5 sub- questions and I don't know what to do if I will multiply or add it. I decided to add it so I got it wrong again.

I'm now starting to hate myself because  almost all the things that I'm doing in math and in my life are all wrong.

Friday is always an activity day so we did an out of the world the game. Haha. Just kidding. We all went out to the basketball court to discuss the mechanics of the game. First, there is a sacrificial lamb who will tag others and the one tagged will help the sacrificial lamb tag the others will holding hands. Venice volunteered to be the sacrificial lamb and It was quite long time until she tagged the first person. I just wondered that what if I volunteered myself to be tagged by Venice. What if she agreed to tag me and allow me to hold her hand.

But I think that would be very unlikely and impossible to happen. Maybe it will just forever be a brilliant or an idiot idea to such a thing. It will always be a beautiful thought that never happened because I'm too coward to try. But what if she allowed me. Maybe it will forever be a regret of what if and I wish I tried.

The first game was quite boring but the second game was much more exciting because Mam Nicole said that last man standing will be exempted in the next quiz or the last 2 men standing will share the exemption. The second game tests us to until how far will we do for grades. That game revealed the true colors of everybody. It showed that we will do everything just for the sake of grades which is very sad and disappointing for us section one. Many are hurt because of the selfishness and greediness of most of us.

We did not do anything on Saturday because the English Club had a culminating activity.

P. S. To the person that meant the world to me. If you're reading this post I hope everything will be okay on Monday and may our relationship with each other be back and will be as happy as before because I'll be miserable at best without you.

Worst Week Of My Life

This week had been a roller coaster ride but ironically the ride was just constantly going down. There maybe certain times that it goes up a little and after few minutes it goes down again even faster than before.

We had no classes on the first two days of this week because it was field trip. Actually, the trip was on Monday and Tuesday was for rest day because the trip's arrival time was expected to be at 10 in the evening but things did not happened according to how it was planned. We arrived very early in Olongapo around 8:30 pm and we were not able to go to the other venues because our idiot bus driver doesn't know where art island is. Due to that, our whole schedule was ruined.

Wednesday, we had a recap on last week's lesson and a new topic. We recalled about the Fundamental Counting Principle which was very difficult for me and I did not understood it at all at first because I was out of class the whole previous week because of City Meet but I studied it on my own at home and luckily I understood it well.

By the way, If you're reading this post, (you know who you are) I just want you to know that I missed you a lot and you had been my inspiration during the city meet. I'm looking forward in talking to you again and creating unforgettable memories together.

Anyway, last Thursday we had an easy quiz. Totally easy indeed but I don't what happened why I got a very low disappointing score. Probably, I was not analyzing the question very well so I got it wrong. Maybe my best wasn't good enough. This is the first quiz for the 3rd Quarter and I got a failing grade. Whoo! Unang quiz pa lang bagsak na. Paano pa sa susunod? Huhu.

Despite my low score, I will take this as challenge for striving harder and becoming better in next quizzes.

Friday, we had an unexpected activity. Something very interesting this time. It's about making the love letter that you never sent. All of us made only one letter but some made two. After everybody was done, the letters are compiled in a box and Mam Nicole will read it in front of the class. My favorite letter was the one entitled Bakeshop. She's very good at writing love letters and I have an idea who's letter was that and who was it for. Whooo! and I have a strong feeling that my guess is correct.=)

Saturday, we had no math classes on math but Mam Nicole assigned us answer a take home problem set for Monday. It was very easy and I got a perfect score on both quizzes.

It's had been a long tiring week and I hope to see you again next week. Bye! Adios Amigos.

Lost But Never Broken

I had nothing to write about math this time for I had been out for the whole week.

I had been busy training for 3 days in swimming for the city meet. Luckily, the results of the competition was not as bad as I expected. I got 4th, 9th, 11th place on my events namely 100m Freestyle, 200m Breast Stroke & 100m Breast Stroke respectively. Not bad for me having only a 2 day training and 2 year stoppage of swimming since the last time that I joined city meet which was 7th grade.

Anyway, I congratulate myself for what I got despite of having cramps on my left leg when I tried to run 21 laps in the remy field and having cramps again when I joined the intense training of my former swim team. I may not be qualified for the CLRAA this year but I will make sure next year I will be. Just wait for my come back.

By the way, I've heard that the whole class was also busy for the past 3 days preparing for the fashion show which was their performance task in math. This activity was done since our current lesson is combinatorics and the activity involves wearing different clothes in different combinations. I think that was the show about.

Last Friday afternoon when my swimming competion was done, I've got a news that the fashion show was successful. Whooo! Congratulations guys! =). Job Well Done.

Then, since Magoo, Kim & I were not around because of the city meet, we were assigned to do 10 paged narrative report about the show.

That's all for this week. I'm just excted for the field trip and being back in the class again. I'm just looking forward in seeing her again.=)

Solace In The End

This week, I had been very busy doing school requirements, making the math magazine, and reviewing for the exams.

One thing that really consumed my precious time was that freakin' very simple 20 page graded magazine requirement. I had a hard time doing it because I am not creative enough and creativity is one on the criteria for grading which is 30%. It took me 3 long days to finish it and had a 10 hour project video not a time lapse.

After that when I was finding a long glossy paper on Pandayan, National Bookstore and Expressions, I found our that there were none. So I panicked because I only had 4 days that time before the submission date. Luckily, my mom called me and said that she encountered my classmate that had just recently gotten her magazine on the print shop so my mom asked her if there is a long glossy paper on that shop and in her utter astonishment, there is.

So I decided to print my mag there but they said that they can finish printing it in 4 days since they were very busy and I said okay.

Another thing that used up much of my time is when I was reviewing math for the periodical exam. I expected that the test will be difficult since it was prior announced that I was a teacher's made exam. I studied on how to graph a piece-wise function and a cubic function since I was not able to understand the lesson when the piece-wise function is taught so I self studied.

But the inverse of what I expected is the test. It was just easy and doesn't need any complex graphing to solve the answer. But because of carelessness I got 2 of my answers wrong.

I think I'll get I a high score on the exam since I am sure that I answered it all correctly except for the 2 mistakes. I'm just very happy right now because the 2nd Grading is over and also really excited for the next grading. I just want to learn many new things.=)
